Each year, The NET Charter High School strives to better meet its students' needs and to achieve greater goals as related to its mission of providing students will the skills, confidence, and experiences necessary for them to succeed in the education and career paths of their choice.
The average NET student enters the NET working far below grade level. Generally students skills upon entering the NET are as follows:
The NET believes that learning and growing is about a lot more than academic skills and test scores. For NET students to meet their potential, they must have the behavioral and social skills to face and persist through the challenges of being a young person in New Orleans.

Thus the NET focuses on building strong relationships, providing students with individualized supports, and using restorative approaches. Through these research-based practices students gain the confidence to be their best selves.
In order for NET students to practice their skills and confidence in the real world, the NET organizes excursions in and out of the city, individual student trips in and out of state, and most importantly, professional internships. Click here to learn more about The NET's Internship program.
As of January 2016, 123 students have graduated from the NET with Louisiana State Diplomas.
As an alternative school, The NET's graduation rate is calculated by the number of students who reach their projected graduation date regardless of how many years they attend high school. This is important because many NET students started high school as many as 6 years prior to coming to The NET. This method of calculation however means that graduation rates will fall over the first few years of the school's existence since very few students had projected graduation dates during the first few years.
